Are all items available as a print?

 

No, the items available for print will be indicated within the information section of each piece up for sale.

 

is there more than one of the same canvas available?

 

No, each piece is an original. However, if you could like to have a piece replicated, please see the Custom Pieces Policy on the steps to request a replica of a canvas piece that has already been sold.

 

Can I request a piece based on an informal idea or concrete design?

 

Yes, this requires a consultation where you discuss your idea with the artist via Zoom. A design is drawn up and discussed. To learn more about this process please visit the Custom Piece Policy section of the website.

 

What counts as a custom piece?

 

Personalized items, such as cards (specifically for someone in mind on their bday, mother’s, father’s day, etc), bookmarks, canvas pieces, painting on bags, shoes, clothes, etc. are all examples of custom pieces. The price varies depending on the size of the requested piece and anticipated design hours.

Do pieces have a varnish?

No, the pieces do not have a varnish.

To protect your watercolor paintings, it is advised to place them in a frame that contains glass.

 

Holiday Pieces

 

When do holiday pieces go for sale?

 

Common holiday pieces are posted for sale 1 month prior to the month they are celebrated in.

For example: December holiday pieces are uploaded, the first week of November.

What holiday pieces are automatically posted for sale?

 

Well-known holidays and special days of the year such as Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa are December holidays that will have cards available on Nov. 1st. (Ramadan is also included, however, these pieces will be on sale in February).

 

All the special days of the year where items will be automatically posted for sale are:

Valentines Day

Ramadan

Mother’s and Father’s Day

Hanukkah

Christmas

Kwanzaa

And, general Birthday cards

 

Pieces that must be requested:

 

Other special days of the year, such as Cinco de Mayo, Fourth of July, etc. can be requested as a custom piece. Holidays related to specific religious practices such as Easter etc. can be requested as a custom piece as well.

 

 

Shipping and Rates

 

How much is shipping?

 

Shipping is a flat rate of $6.50 and handling fees are included within the price of the piece.

 

I live outside of the USA how do I buy a piece?

 

As of right now, this artist does not provide international shipping and only ships items within the USA.

 

Are rates negotiable?

 

No, rates are not negotiable.

The prices listed and discussed for private, custom, personalized and original pieces or designs are final and fixed. Rates are determined and finalized based on the details, time, supplies, handling, and additional preparation for shipping costs.

 

Discounts and coupons are given by the artist during giveaways directly from either  The Curlfriend | For the Curlfriends  or Hakeemah’s Wind media accounts.
